How to surf more in Winter
There are so many reasons not to surf in Winter - your warm bed being one of them! But truly. Do you ever regret getting in the water? We bet you always feel revived afterward, no matter how cold and windy it is! Here are 3 tips to get you surfing more in the depths of Winter.
1. Surf report looking dire? Ignore what it says and drive to the beach anyway. Put your feet in the sand once you get there! By this stage, you're already 70% committed. We find that the best surfs often happen when the report tells you otherwise. And fewer crowds, too!
2. Do a big tidy/organize of all your surfing bits and bobs: rinse and dry your wetsuits, sort out all the yucky wax bits in the bottom of your bucket, treat your board to a fresh, pretty coat. We're convinced that appreciation for your surf accessories can enhance your surfing experience.
3. Surfing and travel are two words that sound mighty good together. Do yourself a favour, and plan a mini surf trip so you have something to look forward to. Whether it be a day trip away from your local break or a weekend spent somewhere entirely new, put it in your calendar and feel the joy of anticipation until the date rolls around.
